Welcome to St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center . We provide free translation services for our patients. Please call (620) 792-2511 to be redirected to a translator.

St. Rose Ambulatory & Surgery Center has bilingual local residents it can call on when the need for a Spanish medical translation arises.  To help add to the list of medical interpreters, the hospital has teamed up with Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) to offer specialized training. It is called Bridging the Gap. The course is free of charge through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment; anyone who already speaks both English and Spanish is encouraged to register.

Participants who successfully pass the course will receive a "certificate of completion in Bridging the Gap." They also will receive a handbook, glossary and interpreter's guide to common medications.

Requirements are to register online through KS TRAIN at http://ks.train.org and also register with JVS by filling out the JVS application form, which can be found by visiting www.jvskc.org. That form should be sent to JVS, 1608 Baltimore Ave., Kansas City, Mo. 64108, or faxed to 816-471-2930.

In addition, prospective participants may call 816-471-2808 and ask for Cathy Anderson to learn more about the course and application process. Other questions may be directed to Sr. Elizabeth by calling 620-786-6404.
